On Wednesday morning we met with Officers Friend, Stuck and Jarzynka. I explained what we were doing on the Your Heroes Across America tour and was honored to present them with a “Thank You from America” plaque.

I was able to meet up with fellow FBINA Graduate, Captain Todd Weddum from the Council Bluffs Police Department, Criminal Investigation Division

Stopped and spoke to the Council Bluffs Firefighters and thanked them for their service to our country and their community.

I was able to thank the on duty firefighters from Council Bluffs’ Fire Department.

Presented a “Thank You From America” plaque to Deputy Lee Volken from the Pottawattamie County Sheriff Department

After leaving the police department, we were able to meet up with Phyllis Rodenburg (local resident and friend). Phyllis escorted Michael and I around Council Bluffs showing us the public safety memorial, the veterans memorial, and many of the historical sites the city had to offer. We also were able to meet with Mayor Matt Walsh and city engineer Jeff Goos outside of City Hall.
