COLORADO

We made it to the Air Force Academy and we’re able to get checked into the RV camp…. The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) staff were amazing and check-in went smooth!!! 


Giving Out Thanks

  • Michael and I met with Major Jesner and Capt Plasay from the Air Force Academy

    10th Security Forces squadron and presented them with the second, “Thank you from America” plaque.

  • I was honored to be given an opportunity to speak to their officers during their Guardmount (briefing) and thanked them for their service to our country, as well. To think 42 years ago I was standing in some of their shoes……

  • We left the Air Force Academy on Tuesday morning and started towards Council Bluffs, Iowa. We stopped at the Transwest truck, trailer, RV facility in Frederick Colorado to meet up with Facebook friend, Brad Nerhus and his coworkers.

  • Brad was a Vietnam veteran and I was able to tell him America especially wanted me to thank our Vietnam Veterans and welcomed them home. I made sure that I welcomed Brad home on America’s behalf!!! we left Transwest and continued on towards Council, Bluffs, Iowa arriving in about 11 o’clock at night.
