2022-2023 “Thank You" Tours
In 2022, my son and I did our first “Your Heroes Across America” tour. We traveled 6300 miles through 20 States across our nation. As we made stops, I asked everyone we met what they would tell our first responders and veterans if they were standing in front of them.
Everyone (and I mean everyone) we met throughout the country said they would tell them “Thank you” for what they do to keep us free and safe. They said they knew both careers were tough jobs and asked me to just tell them thank you!!!
During our 2023 Tour we complied with everyone’s request…
YOUR HEROES ACROSS AMERICA
Thanks for the assistance
Every trip has its challenges and our 2nd tour across America was no exception. In the hills of West Virginia, the coach decided it no longer wanted to run. I was four hours from my daughter’s home in Knoxville TN and after several days and a lot of assistance from friends and family, I was able to make it to her home and begin repairs. Let me be the first to admit, I am no bus mechanic. Without everyone’s support, the tour would have ended there. I want to thank Gil Johnson for all the knowledge he shares on the Prevost Owners Facebook page!!! He recommended I contact “Rob Russell” from Russell Coach Company, in Knoxville. I showed up at Rob’s business unannounced and he treated my son and me like he had known us all his life…
Very, very impressed and highly recommend using his services if you ever need them!!!! 🇺🇸👍

After going through the issues I was having with my coach, Rob asked his mechanic to come to my daughter’s house on his way home from work. “Wayne Clapp” was the mechanic that arrived and his level of knowledge of the 8V92 Detroit Engine was amazing. Within 20 minutes, he discovered 2 wires going into the coach’s main computer were not completely seated… He reconnected the wires and the coach started right up…. I would have never found them…
My son(s), son-in-law, and daughter all assisted me in replacing the coach’s fuel pump before Wayne came to help. The coach is now working great… The breakdown appears to have been related to the fuel pump and main computer wiring.
I finished up my “extended visit” with my daughter & grandkids and I’m happy to report the coach ran great as we traveled back to Surprise, Arizona… 🇺🇸☀️
Thank you, all for your suggestions, advice, and assistance during the breakdown.
